Meet Janine, LMT
Janine has always known she wanted a career built around helping people. As she got older, she discovered that working one-on-one suited her far better than larger settings, and massage therapy became the perfect fit. She brings a natural warmth to every session and genuinely loves getting to know her clients. Families, travel stories, personal milestones—Janine pays attention to all of it. She jokes that since she is a homebody herself, hearing about her clients’ adventures is how she gets to see the world.
Born and raised in Alaska, Janine has deep roots in Anchorage. After spending an extended time in Washington due to a family medical situation, she and her husband returned home more certain than ever that Alaska is where they belong. That sense of place and community is something she carries into her work every day.
At Pairmore and Young, Janine has found a team she truly loves being a part of. She also adapts really well to each individual and tailors her work based on what their body needs most, primarily using deep tissue massage, cupping, and the occasional scraping technique. Janine also offers basic lymphatic drainage to support circulation and reduce general swelling (edema) and holds certification in that work.
She has tremendous respect for the doctors and values the collaborative, family-like atmosphere they have built. For her, it’s simply a good place to do meaningful work alongside people she genuinely cares about.
Outside The Clinic
When she’s not caring for her clients, Janine keeps busy as a mom to twins. Her sisters are a big part of her life too, and the four of them stay close through regular get-togethers, dinner swaps, and game nights. In the evenings, she and her husband like to unwind by playing video games together.
